In a world where people are increasingly using their phones to pay for things, the bar industry has been left behind. There’s still no universal way for bargoers to start a tab using digital means (e.g. Google/Apple Pay); a physical card is still needed. We’re changing that.

The problem we’re solving?
Not all bars have modern POS systems. Many still use old cash registers coupled with a simple swipe terminal. While some bars can accept tap-to-pay, it’s often inconvenient, and patrons have to close out after each round.

Bartenders are handling customer’s phones or simply not allowing digital wallet usage.

Drinkers must carry a physical card, rely on a friend to cover them, or worse; leave thirsty.
We have a simple solution.
ChecksOn.Me is building a digital payment processing tool for bars, consisting of three main components:
The merchant portal
An interface for the patrons
And our network that connects them all to the global payment network
Using cutting edge, event driven architecture and cross-platform development tools, ChecksOn.Me will soon be available for all

1. Manage tabs
Keep track of your paired customers and all of your open and closed tabs in your dashboard

2. Close tabs
The bartender submits a final total for payment and the patron’s card is charged

3. Reconcile
Bar owners finalize monthly and daily sales in the merchant portal.

For bar patrons

1. Pair with the bar
Scan the QR code, use a pairing code, or use the search tool to find the bar you’re at

2. Set tip & authorize payment
Fill in some info, set your tip, and use your digital wallet to authorize a later payment

3. Order at the bar
Once you’re paired, just order the same way you normally would with the bartender

4. Close tab from anywhere
Skip the line at the bar and close your tab from your cab ride home

We’re building an agnostic system that integrates with any POS system (e.g. Toast, Clover), national payment networks, and offering our own direct network. It also works with no POS system. Our mission is to achieve this at no significant cost increase for bars or customers, recognizing the critical importance of margins in the hospitality industry.
