ChecksOn.Me was founded in New York City in 2025. The original product idea, however, was conceived during the social distancing era of 2020, when the hospitality industry urgently needed more flexible payment solutions. While many new technologies emerged, one critical gap remains: bars often still can’t support opening tabs using mobile wallets. ChecksOn.Me is on a mission to change that.

Bringing two decades of front-line experience in the bar industry to her engineering career, Kali is a specialist in greenfield application development using niche technologies. She focuses on Flutter, leveraging its power to build seamless cross-platform experiences for web, mobile, and various extensions. Kali is a strong advocate for technical community and mentorship, serving as a mentor to women in engineering, leading the Flutteristas conference in April 2025, and having presented at FlutterCon USA twice.

With 16 years of experience in marketing, design, and business development, and a career spanning both nightlife and fintech, Shelley brings creative vision with strategic execution. Having previously founded and exited a tech startup of her own, she combines entrepreneurial insight with a deep understanding of brand and customer engagement. After years of serving as a fractional CMO in fintech, Shelley now leads design, marketing, and sales at ChecksOn.Me, complementing Kali’s technical expertise with a clear focus on growth, user experience, and market positioning.
